How to Make an Edible Fruit Bouquet with Pineapple Daisies

Edible-fruit-bouquet

Have you seen those beautiful fresh and edible fruit bouquets online or at an edible fruit bouquet store in your city? Fresh fruit bouquets are fun, beautiful, healthy, and delicious! What is not to love?--perhaps the price. For example in the picture from Edible Fruit and More, the fresh fruit arrangement on the left retails for $85.00, and the fruit bouquet basket on the left sells for $90.00 (The pineapple daisies are the yellow flower shapes with orange cantaloupe centers.)

Tonight I was looking around for videos on how to make candy bouquets on youtube.com but they didn't have any--only commercials for franchise owners of Candy Bouquet. However, this new 6:09 minute video with directions on how to make a fruit bouquet was added 6 days ago and mixed in with the results. I don't know how to imbed a youtube video directly onto my blog, but here is the page it is on. How to make a Fresh Fruit Bouquet

One of the staffers at CQ Products displays how to create an easy-to-make, inexpensive and unique fruit bouquet from the step-by-step instructions in the new cookbook series: Delicious Designs. The three titles in the Delicious Designs series are Fruit Bouquets, Cookie Bouquets, and Candy Bouquets. Order them at http://www.cqproducts.com

I feel that this video with directions on how to make an edible fruit bouquet is worth watching if you want to save money by making your own fruit bouquet arrangement or fruit bouquet basket. If you cannot get fresh Hawaiian pineapple in your local supermarket, we can ship Hawaiian pineapples to the mainland US for you, direct to your doorstep. Fresh pineapples are needed if you plan on making the pineapple daisy design for your edible fruit creation. We also can ship fresh Hawaiian papayas to add even more tropical taste sensation to your delicious fruit bouquet design.

Easy Pineapple Prosciutto Pupus Recipe

Hawaiian pupus (pronounced poo-poos) are a wonderful island tradition in Hawaii. Pupus are appetizers or hors d'oeuvres. Pupus are served before a meal, or sometimes there are so many pupus, they are the meal! You can find pupus at all kinds of parties large and small, restaurants, bars--pretty much anywhere people gather to eat food together.

For your next holiday party, serve these delicious fresh pineapple pieces wrapped in prosciutto pupus. Instead of throwing away the outer pineapple rind, serve it in an impressive pineapple boat.

Easy Pineapple and Prosciutto Pupus Recipe

Fresh Hawaiian Pineapple
10 slices of Prosciutto or Virginia Ham
Ground Pepper

Cut fresh pineapple into bite size pieces. Wrap a pineapple piece with a little strip of prosciutto and hold in place with a toothpick. Serve with a dipping bowl of freshly ground pepper.

Hawaiian Fresh Pineapple Pie Dessert Recipe

This is a great fresh pineapple pie recipe. Not including the pineapple, you probably have all of the basic ingredients in your kitchen. You could substitute with canned pineapple but it doesn't quite taste the same. If you do not have fresh pineapple in your area, we can easily send you some, click here to order Hawaiian fresh pineapples.

Hawaiian Fresh Pineapple Pie Dessert Recipe

2 Pastry Crust for 9" Pie (frozen and thawed, or freshly made)
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup flour
3 Eggs
2 Cups fresh shredded Hawaiian pineapples, drained
1 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
2 Tablespoons Butter

Prepare pastry for one double crust 9 inch pie. Blend sugar and flour together. Beat eggs slightly, and combine with sugar and flour mixture. Add shredded pineapples and cinnamon, stir well and pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter, cover with top crust and crimp all around. Prick top crust to let the steam out when baking.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for additional 35 minutes or until crust is brown.

How to Make an Impressive Hawaiian Pineapple Boat

Hawaiianpineappleboat

Ever wondered how to make those impressive Hawaiian pineapple boats seen at fancy restaurants and Hawaiian luaus? You know, the kind where the pineapple is cut in half with the crown still attached, and the pineapple fruit is scooped out so you are only left with a shell or dish filled with something yummy.

It really is not that hard to do once you see how easily it is done. Check out the best step by step directions with photographs to make a pineapple boat. These directions are better and easier than the one described in my cookbook!

Your pineapple boat can be the stunning center piece on your table. Fill it with fruit salad, dressing, cubes of cheese with toothpicks--whatever your heart desires!

If fresh pineapples are not available in your area on the mainland, we will be more than happy to ship fresh Hawaiian pineapples from Hawaii direct to your doorstep!

Gabrielle Reece's Beauty Secret and Diet Foods

Laird_hamilton

Gabrielle Reece, or Gabby as she is also known, is a world famous former pro volleyball champ, model, wife of surfer Laird Hamilton, a mother to daughter Reece who turns 4 in October, and is also 5 months pregnant with their second child.

People Magazine just wrote an article last week, Laird Hamilton: Pregnant Gabby Reece 'Feeling Good'.

Gabby Reece said that to make your skin look amazing, what she does is use applications of cold-pressed coconut oil over her whole body. To nourish her skin from the inside out, she said she eats tons of enzyme rich papaya and pineapples. (Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, June 2007)

Lucky for Gabby and Laird that they make their home on Maui, Hawaii, where there are literally "tons of papayas and pineapples."

If you are hungering for some fresh Hawaiian papayas or fresh Hawaiian pineapples and you can't get them in your area, we can ship them directly to your doorstep in a matter of days!

My Hawaiian Pineapple Coleslaw or Cole Slaw Recipe

It's summer and coleslaw or cole slaw (I have seen it spelled both ways!) is the perfect cool accompaniment to burgers and grilled foods -- meat or vegetarian.

Tonight I grilled fresh wild caught salmon steaks and made my Hawaiian Pineapple coleslaw to go along with it. It was a delicious pairing of flavors.

Hawaiian Pineapple Coleslaw Recipe

1 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
1/4 cup shredded purple cabbage
1/4 cup grated carrots
1 cup shredded or chopped fresh Hawaiian pineapple
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Chill before serving.

Be creative in your cooking and use what you like. For example if you don't like cabbage, substitute with all carrots or carrot and jicama. Use more or less of your favorite mayonnaise and add vinegar and pepper to your taste. If you have to use canned pineapple go ahead, but remember you can always buy fresh Hawaii pineapples online.

How to Grow a Hawaiian Pineapple Plant -- Indoors or Out

Did you know that it is quite easy to grow your own Hawaiian pineapple plant? Pineapple plants are not grown from a seed or plant cutting, but rather from the green spikey crown at the top of every pineapple fruit!

If you live in Hawaii growing a pineapple plant is as easy as literally throwing the pineapple crown onto some dirt in your yard and making sure it gets rained on everyday (easy to do if you live in Hilo, Hawaii where it rains a lot!), or watering it by hand. Of course if you take the time to bury it in the ground a few inches and fertilize it, your pineapple plant will probably do much better. We have planted dozens of pineapples the lazy way and nice way, and they have both bore sweet juicy pineapple fruit after two years -- yes, it takes that long for a delicious ready to eat fruit to appear.

If you do not live in a tropical zone or do not have a yard to grow things in, you can grow a pineapple plant in a pot as a houseplant. I already researched online for you and this is the best directions I found for growing a pineapple plant indoors.

If you do not have fresh Hawaiian pineapples at your local supermarket, you can order fresh pineapple fruit with crowns online. Ship them to yourself or to someone else as a delicious gift that may end up being the gift that keeps on giving!
